    Sean E. Frink
Sean E. Frink is a member of the firm. He concentrates his practice in real estate development, construction, and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on trial practice. He has been actively advising businesses and litigating cases for more than twenty-three years in the CNMI, primarily representing hotels, contractors, insurance companies, casinos, tour operators, financial institutions, and other multinational and CNMI based companies. Sean is a licensed CNMI Lobbyist and is experienced in advising and representing companies in all aspect of their business dealings, including real estate acquisition and development, governmental affairs, and procurement. Sean is licensed to practice law in Hawaii, Guam, and the CNMI. He is also a listed correspondent for numerous P & I shipping clubs.
 
Representative Matters
Development Representation. Successfully advised and represented large property developer in acquisition, development, defense of lawsuits, government relations, and personnel related matters.

Real Estate Acquisition. Successfully advised large client in acquisition and development of existing developed and undeveloped properties so as to maximize its overall business plans.

Shareholder Corporate Control. Represented Japanese controlled hotel corporation in bringing an advantageous conclusion to numerous lawsuits brought by minority shareholder aimed at corporate takeover and obtained judgment against, and payment from, minority shareholder.

Construction. Represented many contractors over the years in disputes and litigation with contracting authorities, subcontractors, insurers, bonding companies, and others, including litigating to a favorable conclusion large scale multiyear litigation involving alleged cultural artifact destruction during runway expansion project.

Securities Litigation. Successfully represented large international securities company in forcing multi-million dollar lawsuits into preferred arbitration venue.

Banking. Brought a lawsuit filed against banking client related to improper withdrawals and other issues to successful conclusion through motions practice.

Civil Rights. Won numerous dismissal and summary judgment motions and successfully litigated to conclusion many civil rights matters defending governmental entities and private corporate clients in civil rights lawsuits, including but not limited to Title VII, § 1983, the ADA, and Bivens actions.

Wrongful Death/Injury (including Admiralty and SCUBA). Successfully represented captain and his employer and ship owner in wrongful death action. Prevailed in motion to dismiss regarding lawsuit brought by family member of decedent claiming losses due to viewing aftermath of accident.

Insurance Defense. Regularly represent and advise insurers and their insureds related to claims made and lawsuits filed.

Government Defense. Caused the dismissal of lawsuits brought against government officials and employees in their personal capacities and then successfully represented the government entities involved to conclusion of the lawsuits.

R.I.C.O. Class Action. Participate in winning motion brought on behalf of CNMI manufacturers in class action RICO case moving case from Los Angeles to Hawaii to Saipan and then litigated merits resulting in advantageous class settlement for clients.

Workers' Compensation. Regularly advise insurers and employers on Workers' Compensation claims and administrative actions.
